How to safely stretch and massage Dupuytren’s contracture
It is helpful to stretch and massage the hand and fingers of Dupuytren’s contracture correctly. However,
the stretching and massage technique used must be specific for this problem, and applied gently enough
to not injure the tissue yet strong enough to make tissue changes.
Dupuytren’s Contracture Institute has developed such a stretching and massage method. Correctly
applied hand and finger stretching and massage help the hand become less tight and painful, and delays
progression of DC when used in combination with internal and other external therapies in a balanced Alt
Med treatment plan. We are currently in the process of creating an instructional DVD for safe and
effective Dupuytren’s contracture stretching and massage.
