Homeopathy used to treat Dupuytren’s contracture
Dupuytren contracture can be treated with homeopathy, as can other conditions in which a profusion of soft tissue cellular elements is found. Using the homeopathic formula specially developed for DCI and PDI, known as Scar-X, you can now add this special form of therapy to your Dupuytren treatment plan.
Discovered by Samuel Hahnemann, homeopathy is a unique 200 year-old pharmaceutical system of healing that stimulates the defense system of the body to protect and heal itself, using only extremely small doses of naturally occurring substances. Using the homeopathic formula specially developed for DCI and PDI, Scar-X, you can now add this special form of therapy to your Dupuytren treatment plan.

Homeopathy is particularly popular in France, England, Germany, Greece, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and South Africa. Approximately 40% of the French public have used homeopathic medicines, and 39% of the French physicians have prescribed the medicines. About 20% of German physicians occasionally utilize these natural medicines, and 45% of Dutch physicians consider them effective. According to a survey in the British Medical Journal, 42% of British physicians surveyed refer patients to homeopathic physicians, and a New York Times article reported that visits to British homeopaths is growing 39% a year. Homeopathy is particularly popular in India where there are over 120 four-year homeopathic medical schools.Homeopathy is also growing very rapidly in the United States. Market research shows that sales of homeopathic medicines have grown at a rate of 10-20% per year during the past ten years.

Dupuytren contracture connection to homeopathy
Here is something of extreme importance to Dupuytrens contracture: A research study found,(1) “The effect of homeopathic plant extract solutions on the cell proliferation of human cutaneous fibroblasts in vitro”. Did you notice that key word in the title, “fibroblast”? As you will recall, fibroblasts are a specialized type of connective tissue cell found in every organ and tissue; they are cellular protein-making factories that produce the various connective tissue elements (as found in a scar). Fibroblasts are found in abundance, over abundance, during the early stages of Dupuytrens contracture. That means this study has some relevance to scar formation, and Dupuytrens contracture, in a big way. This research project identified 11 homeopathic plant remedies that were capable of slowing or reducing fibroblast cell growth. By slowing fibroblast cell growth, this study demonstrates the possibility of altering production and composition of the cellular foundation of scar material with a homeopathic preparationA second study reports that homeopathy can influence tissue repair.(2) This one suggests that an arnica homeopathic remedy reduced the hematoma (bruise) and pain during postoperative recovery, as well as overall improvement of tissue healing. The ability of a homeopathic preparation to improve tissue repair and healing is important in a potential application to Dupuytrens contracture and Peyronie’s disease.
Homeopathy is an energy-based therapy that has been used on plants, animals, children and adults for over 200 years. There is medical controversy about the ability of homeopathy to influence health and healing. The Lancet and other medical publications of high regard have published information favorable to homeopathy. The Queen of England has her own personal homeopath. Walgreen’s and other drug stores now sell homeopathic formulas right along with all the other approved medications. There is a trend of acceptance for homeopathy that says a lot.
Dupuytrens contracture sufferers reduce the dense fibrous tissue build-up by using
the homeopathic formula, Scar-X
While there is evidence that homeopathy does not work, there is evidence that it does work. Some MDs scoff at it, while other MDs never use conventional drugs and use homeopathic therapy exclusively.
Sometimes it is difficult to know exactly what to do. Sometimes you just have to try things and see what happens, after doing your best to investigate and educate yourself. Adding a homeopathic therapy to your treatment plan adds an inexpensive and wider energy-based therapy to your Dupuytrens effort.

Homeopathy Recommendation
Research has been done that demonstrates patients who are treated with homeopathy have a high satisfaction rate with the results of their treatment.(3) In this particular study patients were 95% fairly or very satisfied with their treatment. Please investigate the subject of homeopathy to your satisfaction. If after doing so you wish to try homeopathy for your Dupuytrens contracture, there is a special formula that DCI has commissioned exclusively for the symptomatic treatment of Dupuytrens contracture and scar tissue. Nothing else should be put in the mouth for 20 minutes before or after taking your formula, not even toothpaste or cigarettes. While you are treating your Dupuytrens contracture with homeopathy avoid coffee, mint, peppermint and preparations containing menthol, eucalyptus and camphor, as these can interfere with the action of the homeopathic remedy. If you travel, do not let the homeopathic remedy go through an X-ray detector.
Acute or recent complaints tend to respond more quickly than chronic or longstanding complaints. Be patient! Every case is different, and no two people are alike.

Dupuytrens contracture and Peyronie’s disease connection
There are many statistical and clinical similarities between Dupuytrens contracture and Peyronie’s disease. So much so, that there is even a connection between treatment that has benefited one condition being also potentially beneficial for the other. Because of this, it is common to learn from men who are being treated with a PDI therapy program for their Peyronie’s disease that their concurrent Dupuytrens contracture is also improving.

How do Scarstat and Scar Free, two of the homeopathic remedies you offer, relate to Dupuytren’s contracture…Homeopathic pharmacy that I spoke with, hoping I could order it said that they relates to scars. I would like to see how you explain this to me as to understand fully as my Dupuytren’s contracture is taking on a life of its own, more so then ever!
Greetings Kathryn,
Homeopathy is only recently being recognized in the U.S. It is particularly popular in France, England, Germany, Greece, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and South Africa. Homeopathy is an energy-based therapy that has been used on plants, animals, children and adults for over 200 years. In the various homeopathic preparations that are used, including Scarstat and Scar Free, you will find extreme dilutions of various natural substances; so dilute that they cannot be chemically detected. They have been worked with in a complex process that the various natural substances cannot be found, yet their energy remains. This energy is different depending on what is in the homeopathic formula being used. In the case of Scarstat and Scar Free, it is designed to help the body reduce excess scar tissue.

I am very familiar with Homeopathic remedies as I have been using them for almost 40 years, its just that only two remedies have been listed for use with Dupuytren’s contracture in the Materia Medica which are Gelsemium and Thiosinaminum. I have taken Thiosinaminum for a few year with some results but it seems that one must treat it as a chronic condition which I was not. For the past few months the nodule has appeared. I am using Ruta at the moment as well as magnesium gel for the nodule…wish me luck as I would never have the Dupuytren’s surgery that my brother has done with horrid results.
Greetings again Kathryn,
Homeopathy is truly an art. As such, it is difficult to know how to best to treat it for each person who has Dupuytren’s contracture.
Each day I hear from people who report bad results from their Dupuytren’s contracture surgery. After doing natural DC treatment for almost 20 years I have come to the conclusion there are two main reasons for the high failure rate of Dupuytren’s contracture surgery.
First, the nature of the problem. Dupuytren’s contracture, at its essence, is a flaw of internal chemistry and physiology that results in an excess of collagen and fibrin when the hand is injured (physical or chemical). Dupuytren’s contracture surgery represents a precise, delicate and controlled removal of tissue of the hand. Even so, it still is an injury to which the body eventually responds by producing an excess or collagen and fibrin. Hence, the return and usual worsening of the original Dupuytren’s contracture beyond the pre-surgical condition. Sometimes this recurrence of the Dupuytren’s contracture is almost immediate (less than a year); for others it can take over a decade or more to return. DCI records of those reporting post-surgical return of DC after Dupuytren’s contracture surgery is an average in 3.2 years.
Second, surgical failure due to lack of skill of the surgeon or outright incompetence. Both of these possible causes of failure can be greatly reduced by an exhaustive investigation of hand surgeons who have experience with Dupuytren’s contracture. Ask for referral names from the doctor of past surgical success of anyone who has had Dupuytren’s contracture surgery over 10 years earlier, do a computer search for the malpractice history of each individual, and talk to the scrub nurses who work with any surgeon you consider. Anyone who has had DC surgery earlier than a decade previously might still have an early return, and is not to be considered a true good surgical result. Many people think they have had a good surgical result in the first few months or years, only to learn later about recurrence and worsening of the hand. This will go a long way to control and reduce surgical failure, but it can do nothing to eliminate the nature of the problem.
Having Dupuytren’s contracture is serious. Too many people are casual and overly trusting about Dupuytren’s contracture surgical treatment. The results can be horrific, sometimes leading to eventual amputation. Part of good treatment of Dupuytren’s contracture should include an honest and aggressive program of natural treatment to determine if the body can be assisted to heal the DC palm lump naturally. DCI has been around since 2002. During that time we have average reports of success from 8-10 people who report moderate to marked success over their DC, for every one report of failure. Better to first try every conservative treatment option before venturing out into surgery.
Good luck to you, Kathryn. TRH
